Land Resources: With a fertile land, Yueyang is China's important high-quality primary products base for grains, cotton,pigs and fish. Agricultural by-products are all on good sale,such as organic tea, vegetables without socialeffects of pollutions, high quality fruits, Chinese onion, Yangtze crabs, Dongting shrimps, and etc.

Fresh Water Resources: With a plentiful of water resources, Yueyang has the largest fresh water area of 310000 hectares in China. It is in favor of development of water planting, fresh water fishery and water transportation. It also provides good conditionsfor modern enterprises, which need a lot of water and a large amount of transportation for production.

Biology Resources: With varies biology resources, there are 1118 kinds of wood-plants, 1224 kinds of medicine plants, 131 kinds of water plants and 16 kinds of fish.

Mineral Resources: With rich mineral products, there are more than 60 kinds of ores in Yueyang including more than 40 kinds of industry value ores. It has proved that there are 27 large-sized beds, 28 middle-sized beds and 45 small-sized beds in Yueyang. Among them, 161 spots are suitable for exploiting. The main ores are gold, silver, lead, zinc, copper, vanadium, oil, solitary stone, granite, kaolin, mineral water and etc.
